58. What a Surprise Call!! :

It's been a long time again since i last blogged. I just came back from my HK trip & i intended to blog about the trip when i'm back. But i've been so lazy.....so i kept procrastinating. But just now i had a surprise call and i gotta blog this down straight away even though i've eaten a sleeping pill b4 i got the call.

I just received a call from HK from a friend i've known during my high school days. When i heard him saying his name i was so shocked, especially when i knew that he was in HK for an exchange programme. I always thought he's going back to Adelaide. After that i knew things weren't right 'cos we don't normally chat on the phone (we msn more often) & for him to call me suddenly at 10pm, i had a feeling he wasn't in the right mood. We chatted for about half an hr and i listened to him pour out his unhappiness & how i wish i haven't come back fr HK so that i could be there for him. To me he sounded as he really needed a friend there, and a hug of assurance.

If you're reading this, let me tell u that i really admire your courage for taking such a big step. And i really think it's super sweet of u to do what you've done. I really hope you're being appreciated well and things will go well for you ultimately. Hang in there my dear friend & wish that you'll be baby-sitted 1 day! Don't hesitate to call me anytime when u need a listening ear, 'cos u gotta be my listening ear too when i need one.....hahahahaha! Take care little baby boy (just kidding)!

I remember i used to hate watching Korean drama when my mum was so into them the last time. She kept asking me to watch but i simply refused. But there was once whereby i had nothing else better to do, i started watching Winter Sonata i think....then i became hooked to Korean shows.

After watching "Memories of Bali", "Sad Love Story"& "Full House", i'm super in love with Jo In-sung, Yeon Jung Hoon & Rain! Below are some of the links to their video clips...........really interesting and funny. It's a "must watch" thing!

Jo In-sung:
Wo.......after watching the clip on the autograph-session, i realise that Korean stars are so much more patient and friendly towards their supporters than the Taiwanese stars. At least their sessions are systematic and the bodyguards are friendly. Unlike in Singapore, everytime there's a meet-the-idol session, fans get chased away and pushed around. I think you should watch it, it's the last link under this section. He's super nice and will do whatever the fans request him to, e.g. Hugging.....

Wednesday, June 28, 2006 56. Hi Everyone!!! :

Hi there! It's been a long long time.....Anyway, i've been good & happy. Recently been single after the last one.....and attracting the wrong kinda people nowadays......lol! Enough of my nonsense.

I'm pretty happy with my new banking job so far. Anyone wanna invest? Got good lobang to intro though (",) Look for me if u're interested to roll your $$$......As for my new colleagues, i'm getting along pretty well with them....slowly blend in lo!

Few days back i went ktv with Shelley, Becky & Fiona. It was a wonderful gathering.....filled with laughters and fun! Really miss my sisters 'cos we seldom have time to meet up.....but tmr we're going for dinner again.....looking forward to that. And today, i met up with 2 long long pals. Actually i was suppose to meet my big bro, Bernard, for dinner @ Compass Point. Then as i saw him coming up the escalator, I saw Gordon behind him! I was so shocked yet overwhelmed 'cos he was a guy i used to like alot for 2 damn years at least! But now seeing him again, just brings a smile onto my face, but without other mixed feelings anymore. Bottomline is that, it was a very nice & warm feeling seeing them again after so long.

Tomorrow, there'll be a new branch manager reporting to work. Wonder what kinda chemistry we'll have working together.....hmmm? Hope he's a good boss. Gotta go work on the dot man.....so i gtg & gotta end here folks. Till next time........gd nite!

Wednesday, May 17, 2006 55. Finally Pass Everything! :

Yesh! Finally pass all my certifications!!! Time really flies.....1 month just pass by like that without us realising it. In these 5 weeks of training, I've made many new friends & unexpectedly another small episode happened in my life again. Well what episode? Nothing much really, just that there are times when i was asked who do i like in the class? I told them that my "market" will not be in the class. Just after i passed this remark, someone out of the class really stirred my normal routine of daily life. You can put it as a guest star appeared in my dramatic life once again. But this time round, there wasn't much drama so that's gd. All i can say was that this guest star spiced up my training days for about 2 weeks and it was all a nice dream.

Anyway, training was really fun @ the bank although studying wasn't fun @ all :) All the in-house tests and certifications were really stressing me out before today. Now the load is finally unloaded! This is a picture of one of our trainers, Steve, who is a super big man that never fails to make me laugh. No matter how much i felt like dosing off, with him around i'll only laugh till i feel so awake. He's an excellent trainer i would say 'cos he trains according to our frequencies!

Some of us also organised study groups. There was one Friday (I think was on 12 May) when I met Jarell, Marcus and Marilyn @ Starbucks, Compass Point to do revision till 11pm. After that Jarell & Marcus came over my place to continue revising for our exams. While we studied through the night, we also had some fun gossiping & teasing one another! There were lotsa laughters and tears from yawning......lol! I still remember Marcus was the 1st to K.O. @ 4.30am & I surrendered @ 5am followed by Jarell, the champion! I only managed to sleep for a few hrs lo! Jarell tried to snap a picture of me sleeping & the tupid flash woke me up!!! After that i was dragged by them to go eat breakfast when i was still so in a daze!!!! Anyway, here are some photos taken that night @ my place.............

Sunday, May 07, 2006 54. 987 Males : 1000 Females :

I'm starting to feel quite sad when i look @ how the society is becoming. Many people are getting into very casual relationships very easily and are willing to share 1 man with many women or vice versa. What's this? Are there really not enough women in Singapore? No lo........according to statistics, there are 987 men per 1000 women. It's very near the ratio of 1:1. I know i may not be in a position to comment on this issue but at least as i grow older, i'm getting very sick of such BGR games. I gotta admit that scandaling or flirting around do give the city dwellers some thrill and short-term happiness. It gives you less pressure as there are no commitments but sometimes things can get messy when either party starts to play for real. Anyway, this is not the point. The main point is that i'm getting very disappointed in men. Just when i'm willing to tame down & stop my playfulness, i'm seeing more & more sides of men and marriages. I've heard and seen so many married men still scandaling around or attached men acting single when they wanna hook up a girl. Why are people nowadays treating relationships so casually & never know who to treasure what they have? Come to think about it, there were some people whom i didn't know how to treasure in the past also. But now i've learnt to treasure the right one. And now, my philosophy is that i do not wish to waste anymore time on the wrong person. So if i were to invest my love & commitment onto 1 man, i must make sure the he is the right one. If the feel is wrong, i'll break up after the observation period is a flop.

Another thing i've mentioned is marriage. If you don't wanna be tied down, then why get married & be unfaithful after that? It defeats the purpose. Couples who aren't married are still considered single and have the right to continue searching for the whole. But what puts me off is seeing/knowing married men being unfaithful. Marriage is a new beginning, a new life you spend with your love one & not the end of everything. It's true that you'd probably gotta give up certain freedom and fun, but you can now enjoy doing things that are more fun when 2 people are involved instead of doing them alone. At least now you've found a soulmate, a friend, a wife/hubby that totally belong to you. For this, i feel married couples should never take this fate for granted and be unfaithful.

Recently, i got to know a friend. At first i thought he was single that's why he's dating so many girls. But after the weekend, i found out that he's married. I can't understand the situation so i asked him why is he still dating girls when he's taken. He didn't explain much but he just said that his wife is also doing the same & he married her 'cos he had wasted lots of her youth. My 1st impression was that this is a very sad marriage. If you get married just because of this reason, then i'd rather you don't. If i'm in such a situation, it's either we work things out together and start anew, or just get a divorce and give each other another chance to find their real happiness. Or happiness doesn't exist anymore? I really dunno 'cos i'm still searching for it.

Sunday, April 30, 2006 53. My New Job! :

Well my last day @ RX was on the 7 April 2006 & I started my new job @ DBS on the 10 April 2006. Ya.......i didn't manage to get a break in between at all and that's because the training @ DBS started right on the 10th :(

I'm now receiving my 1 month training in the Banking products and systems. Althought it's a crash course and is giving me lotsa stress, i'm glad that i got to know a new bunch of nice colleagues. On Friday (28 April 2006), most of us in the class decided to give ourselves a break and organised a KTV session @ KBox. We booked the largest VIP room i think and ordered two bottles of 3litre Martel!!!! Actually at 1st we ordered only 1 bottle, but to our suprise the huge bottle finished in a glimpse! That night i think the bill came up to at least $1.7k........Although we had overspent, i guess what was most important was that we all had a good time.

Saturday, April 08, 2006 52. My Last Day @ RX :

My official last working day at RX was yesterday, 7 April 2006. As like what i've mentioned in my previous posting, we were invited to the AA dinner at Copthorne Waterfront. After work i went to style my hair with Camie @ Jean Yip before attending the dinner. It was a buffet style dinner and the food was pretty good i have to say. The evening was quite enjoyable and i had a couple of red wine there. After that, we stayed back a while to take some pictures with one another to keep as momento. Following that, a big group of us headed down to Velvet underground & Zouk. It was hell of a fun really! I guess this kinda last day of work was really memorable. After the drinks and fun, I treated them to supper @ River Valley. Over there, I also took some pics with a them before we headed home to zzzzzz..............
